You can enter cash flows out of chronological order. Cash flows are out of order when dates are not in sequential order or when a start Date overlaps with the End Date on a prior cash flow line.
If you enter cash flows out of order, you can use the ribbon's Sort menu button to arrange the cash flows in chronological order.
To sort the cash flow lines (Merge all lines)
- From the Home ribbon's Rearrange group, click the Sort menu button
- From the drop-down menu, select Merge all lines
When you sort (Merge all lines), TValue will do the following three things in order:
- Expand all lines
- Sort all lines (which are now single events because of the expand)
- Compress all lines
To sort the cash flow lines (By start dates only)
- From the Home ribbon's Rearrange group, click the Sort menu button
- From the drop-down menu, select By start dates only
When you sort (By start dates only), TValue will maintain the series but sort them by their start dates.
Tip: If you do not like the outcome of the Sort, select the Undo button from the Quick Access Toolbar.
