To work on an existing TValue schedule, you need to find and open it. You can open as many schedules as the memory in your computer will allow. When you open a schedule while others are on the screen, the newly opened schedule window becomes the active window.
To open an existing file
- From the File tab's menu choose Open OR click the Open button on the Quick Access Toolbar OR press [Ctrl]+[O].
This brings up the Open dialog for you to select a file. The items listed depend on the contents of the displayed directory's path on your computer and the TValue file type/version you have chosen (the default is All TValue Files). The File name drop-down list will show a history of any TValue files on your computer of the TValue file type/version you have chosen.Tip: If the file you want does not appear in the list, use the directory path and/or change the TValue file type/version to locate and select the file you want to open.
- Double-click on the file you wish to open or select the file and click Open.
To open a TValue file created with Version 5
- From the File tab's menu choose Open OR click the Open button on the Quick Access Toolbar OR press [Ctrl]+[O].
- If the file you want does not appear in the list, change the directory path to where your TValue version 5 files are saved (by default TValue Version 5 files were saved to C:\TValue5) and/or change the TValue file type/version to either All TValue Files or specifically to TValue 5 Files (*.TV5) to locate and select the file you want to open.
- Double-click on the file you wish to open or select the file and click Open.
Note: To change the default directory that TValue displays when you open a file, see Changing the default working directory.
