Expanding a Cash Flow Line

The Home ribbon's Expand menu button in the Rearrange group is useful if you need to change a payment in the middle of a series of payments. If you need to see the individual monthly payments of a 30-year loan, you can enter the payments as a series and let TValue expand the cash flow line into 360 individual payments.

When you expand a cash flow, TValue expands a series so that each cash flow line will represent a single event.

For example, if you have a cash flow line that specifies a series of 36 monthly payments and you choose the Expand command, 36 individual payment cash flow lines will be created one month apart.

To expand a single line cash flow series

  1. Select a single cash flow line to expand.
  2. From the Home ribbon's Rearrange group, choose the Expand menu button.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select This line.

To expand all cash flow series for the entire schedule

  1. From the Home ribbon's Rearrange group, choose the Expand menu button.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select All lines.

Tip: If you do not like the results of the Expand command, choose the Undo button from the Quick Access Toolbar or press [Ctrl]+[Z].
