Creating a New Event Group

TValue consolidates complementary custom events into groups. You can create new group descriptions or use existing ones.

To create a new custom Group Name

  1. Choose Options from the File tab's menu, and then click the Event Names button from the menu on the left of the TValue Options dialog.
  2. Click Add Loan/Payment Group or click Add Deposit/Withdrawal Group in the Group box. These are the 2 types of groups used within TValue.
  3. Click the new group name and type in a name for your new group.
  4. Notice that the Group Detail box has been populated with the defaults for the chosen Group type. See Creating new Event Names/new Group Detail.
  5. Click OK to return to your cash flow data entry.

Note: If you would like the selected Event Names and groups to be the defaults for new schedules rather than just the current schedule, be sure to click Save events for new files.
