The period is the time between events on a given cash flow line. The period is usually the same as the compound period. This field is used if the Number field on a cash flow is greater than one. Otherwise, it is skipped.
To set the Event Period
- Click in the Period field on a cash flow line to display a drop-down list of Event Periods. The Period currently in effect will be highlighted.
- Click the Event Period you want or press the first character of your choice. You don't have to display the drop-down list to select a choice by its first character. Press the character more than once to display choices.
Some periods may not be compatible with the compound period in effect. This occurs if you choose a Period on a cash flow line that is shorter than the compound period. TValue will display an alert if there is a conflict.
Note: Canadian computations often involve events that occur more frequently than the compound period. TValue handles these types of calculations when the Compute Method is Canadian.
